DVR ALERT: Multiple Disney Parks Holiday TV Specials Nov. 24 & 25, Dec. 25

Disney Parks will officially kick off the holiday season on television earlier than ever this year, with three musical holiday specials set to air Nov. 24 & 25 and Dec. 25.

Shot at both the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and the Disneyland Resort in California, each of the three shows will feature special musical performances and celebrity appearances.

Here’s the schedule:

“The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration” on ABC on Nov. 24, from 8-10 p.m. EST. Emmy Award-winners Julianne and Derek Hough will serve as hosts for this two-hour special from the Walt Disney World Resort, which will also feature “Descendants 2” star Sofia Carson, a duet by Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks, and a performance by Kelly Clarkson.

“Disney Parks Presents: A Descendants Magical Holiday Celebration” on Disney Channel on Nov. 25 from 8-9 p.m. EST. Musical performers include Dove Cameron, Cameron Boyce, Sofia Carson and Booboo Stewart, “Descendants 2” star China Anne McClain, Trisha Yearwood with Garth Brooks, and Kelly Clarkson. ABC stars and Disney Channel stars will also surprise philanthropic families around the country with once-in-a-lifetime experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort.

“The Disney Parks’ Magical Christmas Celebration” on the ABC on Dec. 25, from 9-11 a.m. EST. Join holiday hosts Julianne and Derek Hough for a magical ride down Main Street and beyond for a celebration that brings together the beloved Christmas day parade with magical musical performances, surprise celebrity guests and heart-warming family stories. Musical performers on tap are Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks, Kelly Clarkson, Sofia Carson and Jordan Fisher.

Additional performances will be announced for each of the three holiday specials over the next few weeks.

Disney to Live Stream “A Frozen Holiday Wish” Castle Lighting November 7

The holiday season officially kicks off at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida on Monday, November 7, with the return of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and the nightly “A Frozen Holiday Wish” castle lighting.

“A Frozen Holiday Wish,” features the royal sisters Anna and Elsa. Along with their friends, Olaf and Kristoff, Queen Elsa uses her incredible powers to present a gift to everyone in the kingdom – transforming Cinderella Castle into a glimmering ice palace for the holidays.

Join the Disney Parks Blog as they live stream the first castle lighting of the season on the Disney Parks Blog at 6:25 p.m. EST on Monday, November 7. A fresh blog post will appear at the top of the blog at that time for viewing.

Watch Live Stream of Main Street Electrical Parade from Magic Kingdom Park August 28!

“Inside Disney Parks” has announced that their #DisneyParksLIVE stream series returns on Sunday, August 28, with a special presentation of Main Street Electrical Parade from Walt Disney World Resort.

The Main Street Electric Parade will soon be “glowing” away to inspire our friends at Disneyland Resort in California. But before it makes its cross-country journey, guests have until October 9 to enjoy this sparkling spectacular at the Magic Kingdom Park. We hope many of you will be able to see the parade in person before it leaves, but if not the Disney Parks Blog has you covered with a live stream!

We hope you join in Sunday night at 8:55 p.m. ET as we celebrate the Main Street Electric Parade featuring thousands of shimmering lights and some of your favorite Characters from cherished Disney stories.

The Disney Parks Blog’s #DisneyParksLIVE series returns to the Disneyland Resort on Monday, July 25, with a live stream of “Paint the Night” parade, part of the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration!

“Paint the Night” parade brings some of the most innovative floats, vibrant costumes, dazzling special effects, unforgettable music and energetic performances ever presented at Disneyland Resort. This state-of-the-art nighttime parade floods Main Street, U.S.A., with stunning color, fun surprises and more than 1.5 million brilliant LED lights. It was created for the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration, which continues through September 5.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular” To Live Stream Monday, July 18!

The next #DisneyParksLIVE stream will take place July 18 from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where guests are loving the new “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular” fireworks show.

The spectacular is the next generation of Star Wars-themed fireworks shows for the park. “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular,” dazzles with new themed fireworks, lasers, special effects and video projections of iconic characters and scenes from the complete saga, all set to the unforgettable score of the film series.

The live stream of this new show will begin at 9:20 p.m. ET. Visit the Disney Parks Blog website minutes before the fireworks start to learn more about how the show was designed from the creators themselves! Watch Live Stream Of “Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire” On July 11

As part of the Disney Parks Blog series of live-stream events every Monday in July, the next #DisneyParksLIVE stream will showcase the brand new stage show, “Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire,” live from Magic Kingdom Park on July 11.

If you haven’t had the chance to check it out yet, the stage show brings beloved Disney stories to life in a spectacular performance that features an original song, memorable music, dancing, delightful costumes and magical special effects.

You can expect to see favorite Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Goofy, plus a wonderful cast of characters from some of Disney’s newest classics, including “Frozen,” “Tangled” and “The Princess and the Frog.”

Although not heavily advertised on the blog, we managed to find a mention of the live stream towards the end of the Disney Parks Blog’s “Inside Disney Parks” video featurette located here.

According to the video, the Independence Day castle fireworks show will be live streamed on the Disney Parks Blog beginning at 8:50pm EDT.
